/‘Wandering Wednesday’ this week took Hubby Neil and I to a fabulous Chinese restaurant in Allerton, called ‘Eastern Diner’.We had a banquet and have taken a photo of the banquets menu, as it would have taken ages to list it all down..... EVERYTHING was so tasty and all the meats were VERY tender and crispy where it’s dishes are supposed to be crisp! We arrived half hour after opening and there was just Neil and I in the restaurant but within minutes the restaurant was getting full..... after eating, it was obviously very clear to why this restaurant is popular.....All dishes were delicious and each dish was plentiful. We are so full.....Would we go back.....DEFINITELY.....%...xxx️

Never been before, went with friends from out of town who suggested it. Initial impression it looked tired and dated and wasn't particularly warm on a cold night (I know energy is expensive).Ordered Special Banquet C at £ each and there was unfortunately nothing special about it, average at best and expensive for what we got. Hardly any crab in soup, tasted more like chicken & sweetcorn...at least it was hot. Mixed starter platter was so so, not much meat on ribs. Not enough pancakes, cucumber and spring onion with crispy duck. Mains were disappointing and not enough rice to go with. Staff were pleasant and polite but expected better and would go elsewhere.Parking: Park either just outside or within Library car park.Wheelchair accessibility: On ground floor so no stairs to navigate.

Will give stars the food was okay But seemed like the service was rushed as soon as our drinks came our starter then not long after main, the staff were very helpful and helped with what we needed we didn't have a renovation and was put in a nice quite booth. The decor is abit outdated and needs to be updated but overall was satisfied

I’m not one for writing reviews but think I’m going to start wow what can I say about the eastern diner ? The best advice is do not go here from the moment I entered it was freezing cold got sat next to a radiator that wasn’t even on the food was the blandest food I have ever had in a Chinese resturant the salt and pepper chicken wings where still pink inside and to top it off no sooner I got home and I’veGot an upset stomach would never come here ever again even if I got offered a free meal absolute let down
